On October 1, NACD held a session discussing your association revenue streams and the impacts of COVID-19, exploring how you’re navigating these times and plans for the future. This session turned the financial focus onto our members – conservation districts. What kind of impact is this pandemic having on their sources of revenue? How are they navigating these times? Do they have dedicated funding streams? How diverse are their funding sources? To assist with the discussion, participants came prepared to share the sources of revenue their districts have, as well as some of the obstacles they face. The objective of this session was to understand how districts across the country are funded, the effects of COVID-19, and if there are ideas or sources of funding shared that you can take back to your districts.
Additionally, NACD Projects and Partnerships Coordinator Meg Leader joined us for a brief update on the NACD Technical Assistance Grants and to get some feedback from meeting participants.
